Can a Community Economy Hub have a profile card? We thought so.
Because if we speak about community economies as living systems, then perhaps they deserve to be introduced as living systems 😍 After all, community economies are not projects to be delivered. They are made of relationships, nurtured by people.
This is our Community Economy Hub in Namibia township, Bloemfontein, South Africa. Five months old. Born from our community gatherings and the decision to take change into own hands. The Hub (as we affectionately call it) belongs to all ages, speaks four languages, loves exchanges, and honest communication. But don't mistake the Hub for charity. It strongly dislikes it.
Our favorite first words of the Hub: "We overstand". Because township people don't under-stand. Got it? 😉
